Search with precision
Combine filters for sender, recipients, Cc, subject and message body. Sort by date or narrow a mailbox to unread, flagged or time-sensitive messages, mail with attachments, or mail marked important in Gmail.
A native workspace for macOS
Bring Gmail, iCloud Mail and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts together on your Mac. Find the thread, make a plan and give yourself a moment before you hit Send.
01 MAIL
Read across accounts in a combined inbox, or open each account’s own folders and Gmail labels. Keep conversations together and find the exact message you need.
Combine filters for sender, recipients, Cc, subject and message body. Sort by date or narrow a mailbox to unread, flagged or time-sensitive messages, mail with attachments, or mail marked important in Gmail.
Keep the reader beside or below the message list, or open it only when you need it. Set message appearance, list density, read timing and swipe actions.
Keep recent messages on your Mac so you can read them away from a connection. Set how much Zephyr keeps by age, message count or cache size.
READING PANE
Keep your inbox above the open message. Drag the divider to give the list or the reader more room.
02 COMPOSE & SEND
Write in the main window, pop out the composer or tuck a message into floating drafts. Format your message, insert an upcoming event and choose which address to send from.
When you hit Send, your message folds into a paper plane. Set an Undo Send countdown to catch a typo or rethink a line before it leaves, or turn on a second click to confirm.

THE LITTLE DETAILS
See the Undo Send countdown and the highlight that follows you around the sidebar.
While the paper plane waits in the Outbox, click Undo Send to go back to editing. Let the countdown finish and the plane takes off as Zephyr sends the message.
Collapse the sidebar for more room. As you switch between Mail, Calendar and Contacts, the highlight flows to the selected icon.
FLOATING DRAFTS
Minimise a message and watch it fold into the floating drafts button. Hover over the button to see what you’ve parked, then click a draft to pick up where you left off.
Set a timer to park an idle draft or save a parked draft to its Drafts mailbox. When you switch to Calendar or Contacts, choose whether the composer pops out, parks or saves.
03 CALENDAR & CONTACTS
Switch between email, your schedule and the people you’re making plans with. Pick which services to connect for each account.
GOOGLE & EXCHANGE CALENDARS
Browse your Google or Exchange calendars by month, week, work week or day. Search events, manage invitations and find a free time where calendars are shared. Add Google Meet calls to events in Google Calendar.
GOOGLE, ICLOUD & EXCHANGE CONTACTS
Find people across Google, Exchange and iCloud contacts. Create or edit contacts and start an email from a contact card. See starred Google contacts in the VIP view, and access iCloud contacts through macOS Contacts.
04 AI INTEGRATION
Use Apple Intelligence to catch up on email and find a starting point for your reply. Summaries, suggested replies and time-sensitive highlights run on your Mac. You can switch off all AI features in Zephyr’s settings.
SUMMARISATION
See short summaries in the message list and highlight recent email that may need your attention sooner.
SUGGESTED REPLIES
Pick a suggestion to insert it into your draft. Edit it in the composer and send it when you’re ready.
FLOATING ASSISTANT Beta
Open the assistant from the toolbar to ask which emails need a reply, what’s coming up in your calendar or how to improve a draft. Collapse it back into its floating orb when you need the space.
Choose Apple Intelligence or connect your own OpenAI API key. If you allow OpenAI sharing, Zephyr sends your question, recent chat and relevant context to OpenAI. How AI handles your data
Apple Intelligence features require macOS 26 or later and a Mac with Apple Intelligence enabled.
05 SECURITY & PRIVACY
Encrypt a message before it leaves your Mac with built-in S/MIME. Zephyr also encrypts the mail and drafts it stores locally and keeps mail credentials in your Mac’s Keychain.
Turn on S/MIME for a message and Zephyr encrypts its body and attachments with AES-256 before sending. Recipients use their private keys to open it.
Use an S/MIME identity for your sending address and add a trusted certificate for each recipient. You can also open incoming S/MIME messages using your private key in Keychain.
Zephyr uses AES-GCM to encrypt cached mail, saved drafts, summaries and suggested replies stored on your Mac. You choose how much mail to keep offline.
S/MIME protects message content. Subject lines and email addresses remain visible for delivery.
GOOD TO KNOW
Connect Gmail and iCloud Mail, or sign in to Microsoft 365 with a work or school account for Exchange Online mail, calendar and contacts. Google sign-in also lets you enable Google Calendar and Contacts. Use an app-specific password for iCloud Mail and macOS Contacts for iCloud contacts.
Zephyr requires macOS 15 or later. Apple Intelligence features require macOS 26 or later and a Mac with Apple Intelligence enabled.
Yes. In Zephyr Settings, open Assistant & AI and switch off Enable AI Features to hide the assistant and turn off summaries, suggested replies and AI checks. See how AI works in Zephyr.
The Setup Assistant walks you through reading, sending and notification preferences. Pick a colour theme, customise the sidebar and resize panes. You can also choose what happens to a draft when you switch workspaces.
For Gmail, Zephyr can fetch your configured Send As addresses. You can also add an alias in account settings and choose it in the composer.
Add an S/MIME identity for your sending address and a trusted certificate for each recipient to Keychain. Recipients need their private key and a compatible mail app. See what S/MIME protects.
When iCloud sync is available, you can opt in to syncing your account list and Zephyr preferences. You sign in to mail accounts on each Mac, and the mail cache stays on that device.
